The All Star Weekend was a great experience for 1-800LoanMart and the Los Angeles Clippers and our boys from Lob City played so well and made all of us proud. This marked the 61st official All Star Game for the NBA. The weekend was full of events ranging from Skills Competitions, Rising Stars Game, Dunk Contest, and the big All Star Game which took place on Sunday. Friday night Clippers All Star Blake Griffin participated in the Rising Star Challenge game for Team Shaq. He had a 10 minute performance where he scored a few points, grabbed a rebound, and through down some powerful dunks. This game was preparation for the big All Star Game which was played on Sunday night.
The Clippers were represented by two players on Sunday; Chris Paul and Blake Griffin who both started for the West. The All Star Game this year was a close game that was played tough throughout the entire four quarters. The two Clippers carried the Western Conference towards a hard earned win. The game came down to the last few seconds, but the Western Conference pulled through winning by 3 points; 152 to 149. Griffin and Paul played great basketball and helped move the ball around to get all the great players in the Western Conference an opportunity to show their skills. Griffin racked up 22 points in the big game, and Paul added 12 assists throughout the game.
The Clippers ended the first half of the season in 1st place in the Western Pacific Division. 1-800LoanMart is looking forward to an exciting second half season for the Clippers and will be showing their support in various ways. The All Star Weekend gave the Los Angeles Clippers a much deserved break. 1-800LoanMart will be rooting for our official partners this Tuesday at the Staples Center as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. With this type of playing coming from the Clippers, 1-800LoanMart is looking to prepare for the playoffs this year!
